One Drawn vs. Double Drawn vs. Super Double Drawn vs. Same Length Extensions – What's the difference?

Why am I writing this blog?
It happens all the time that clients ask me during treatment: What type of hair do you sell? Or: I've heard that One Drawn is the best, is that true? And not least those who send messages because they are confused by all the different options out there. When I explain how the different hair types work, I often see big eyes and jaw drops – many have been sold something they thought was the best, but which in reality does not meet the standards. Several have said: You have to write about this! So here it is – the blog I have been thinking about for a long time.
What exactly is the difference between hair types?
One Drawn: “The Cheap One”
One Drawn hair extensions are the simplest and cheapest on the market. This hair has only been brushed once, which means that:
- It contains a mixture of short and long hairs .
- The ends are thin because much of the length consists of shorter hair.
- When you prepare your hair for application, a lot of the hair will fall out .
It may sound good, but the reality is that many people are disappointed when they see how thin their ends become after a while.
Double Drawn: “The Golden Mean”
Double Drawn hair extensions undergo an extra process where the shortest hairs are removed. This results in:
- A more even thickness throughout the length .
- Fuller hair than One Drawn , but still some tapering towards the ends.
- Less hair loss during use and styling .
This is a good option for those who want a nice balance between quality and price.
Super Double Drawn: “The Queen of Fullness”
Super Double Drawn hair is our most popular type, and for good reason! This hair undergoes an extensive cleaning process where as many short hairs as possible are removed. The result is:
- An even, full thickness from root to tip .
- Minimal hair loss during styling.
- A natural, healthy and exclusive look .
If you want extensions that truly look like natural, full hair – without having to cut the ends off a lot – Super Double Drawn is the best option.
Same Length (Equal Ratio): “For the discerning”
This hair is for those who want maximum density and thickness from top to bottom . Same Length means that all the hairs in the extension are the same length , so there is no natural taper at the ends.
While this may sound perfect, it is usually only ordered upon request – and in many cases we actually have to thin it out a bit to make it look natural .
Customer Stories: When the Truth Shocks
I remember one customer in particular who came in and said, "I bought One Drawn because I was told it was best for thin hair." When we were going to put it on, we saw that the ends were so thin that we had to cut off almost 10 cm to make it look natural. She was completely shocked and said, "Why isn't anyone talking about it!"
And here I try to explain it in my own way :)
So, what should you choose?
If you're unsure, here's a quick reminder: ✅ Do you want the most fullness and natural result? Choose Super Double Drawn . ✅ Do you want the thickest hair possible? Choose Same Length (but be aware that sometimes it needs to be thinned out a bit). ✅ Do you want a balanced option between price and fullness? Double Drawn is a good solution.
Want to avoid thin ends and excessive hair loss? Steer clear of One Drawn! 🚫
