One Drawn vs. Double Drawn vs. Super Double Drawn vs. Same Length Extensions – Hva er egentlig forskjellen?

One Drawn vs. Double Drawn vs. Super Double Drawn vs. Same Length Extensions – What’s the Real Difference?

Why am I writing this blog?

Clients ask me the same questions all the time during appointments:“What type of hair do you sell?” “I heard One Drawn is the best — is that true?”
Or they send messages because they’re overwhelmed by all the different options online.

Whenever I explain the differences, I usually see wide eyes, dropped jaws — and many clients realizing they were sold something completely different than what they thought they were buying. Several have told me: “You HAVE to write a blog about this!”
So here it is — the blog I’ve been meaning to write for a very long time.

What’s the difference between the hair types?

One Drawn — “The Budget Option”

One Drawn extensions are the simplest and cheapest option on the market. The hair has only been brushed once, which means:

  • It contains a mix of short and long strands
  • The ends are thin, because much of the length is made up of shorter hairs
  • You lose a lot of hair when preparing it for installation

It may sound fine at first, but most clients end up disappointed when the ends become thin very quickly.

Double Drawn — “The Sweet Spot”

Double Drawn extensions go through an extra refining process where shorter hairs are removed. This results in:

  • A more even thickness throughout the length
  • Fuller hair than One Drawn, but still a slight taper toward the ends
  • Less hair shedding during wear and styling

It’s a great choice if you want a balance between quality and price.

Super Double Drawn — “The Queen of Fullness”

Super Double Drawn is the type we sell the most of — for good reason. This hair is thoroughly sorted to remove as many short hairs as possible.

That gives you:

  • Thick, full hair from root to tip
  • Minimal shedding during styling
  • A natural, healthy, luxurious look

If you want extensions that truly look like naturally thick hair — without having to cut off the ends — Super Double Drawn is the best choice.

Same Length (Equal Ratio) — “For the Ultra-Picky”
Same Length hair is for clients who want maximum density from top to bottom.

This means:

  • Every strand is the same length
  • Zero natural tapering at the ends

While this sounds perfect, we only order it upon request — and honestly, we often have to thin it out to make it look natural.

Client Stories — When the Truth Hurts a Little

I’ll never forget one client who told me:
“I bought One Drawn because they said it was best for thin hair.”
When we prepared it for installation, the ends were so thin we had to cut nearly 10 cm just to make it look natural. She was shocked:
“Why does nobody talk about this!?”

So here I am — explaining it my way, once and for all. 😊

So, what should YOU choose?

Here’s a simple cheat-sheet: ✅ Maximum fullness & most natural look Choose Super Double Drawn. ✅ Thickest possible extension from root to tip, Choose Same Length
(But be aware it may need thinning to look natural.)

✅ Best balance of price vs. fullness, Choose Double Drawn

❌ Want to avoid thin ends and heavy shedding?

Avoid One Drawn
